Vincent Cattersel earned a Master degree in object conservation and wood conservation in 2007.
For several years, he worked as an object conservator and research assistant at the Royal Institute for Cultural Heritage (KIK-IRPA, Brussels), and as a visiting lecturer and researcher at the department Conservation Studies, University of Antwerp. He is particularly interested in art-technological source research. Currently, Vincent is a PhD-candidate at the University of Antwerp studying the art-technological context of European lacquers from the 17th to the 19th century (as a partner of the ‘European Lacquer in Context’ project).
