Kate Wight Tyler is an Objects Conservator at the Brooklyn Museum and the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum. She was the Field Conservator for the Institute of Fine Art at New York University’s archaeological expedition to Abydos, Egypt and the Kaman-Kalehöyük excavation conducted by the Japanese Institute of Anatolian Archaeology. Kate holds a BFA in Glass from the Rhode Island School of Design and an MSc in Art Conservation from Winterthur/University of Delaware, where she earned an additional concentration in Preventive Conservation.
