Christina Elsässer is a conservation scientist at Deutsches Museum in Munich, dedicated to the identification of plastics by means of spectroscopic methods. She also researches on the influence of climate parameters in collections.
She studied Conservation-Restoration, Art Technology and Conservation Science at the Technical University in Munich from 2009-2016. Her master thesis focused on investigating plastics used in radios. This final thesis was in close collaboration with The Design Museum and Deutsches Museum, where she received a later research grand for an in-depth examination of plastics in radios.
