Anna Comiotto is professor for the conservation of modern materials at the Bern University of the Arts. Since 2005 she is holding lectures and courses dedicated to modern materials’ technology, degradation, failure analysis and conservation. Beside this, she is working at the Bern University of the Arts in the Laboratory of Art Technology and as researcher at the Y – Institute for Transdisciplinarity. Since 2004 her research activities focus on the conservation of short lived materials and material combinations in contemporary art. She holds a master degree in Modern Materials and Media Conservation and a diploma as conservator (FH) of paintings and sculptures.
