Following a series of pre-study internships at the heritage office of Tübingen and the Badisches Landesmuseum Karlsruhe, Alexander Dittus joined the objects conservation course of the State Academy of Arts and Design Stuttgart in 2009. During his course of studies, Dittus worked at various museums and conservation labs in Germany, Austria, Romania and the United States. After gaining experience with various digital imaging technologies he graduated with a MA-thesis on the ‘Reflectance Transformation Imaging of Transparent Materials’ in 2014. He is currently employed at the Swiss National Museum.
