Alessandro Ciccola achieved his Bachelor in Chemistry and his Master degree in Chemical Sciences at the University of Ferrara; both his thesis were focused on degradation and diagnostics in Cultural Heritage materials and artworks. He won his PhD position at the University of Rome “La Sapienza” in 2014; his PhD project is focused on the characterization of UVB photochemical degradation of acrylic emulsion binders and the effect of synthetic organic pigments on their aging properties through spectroscopic and spectrometric techniques.
