Viola Eickmeier runs the Berlin-based artwork production company studio violet. She holds a Master in product design, combining architectural studies at Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weißensee, Chelsea University in London and the Emily Carr Institute in Vancouver. Since 2002, she has been developing prototypes and bespoke productions for artists. She worked in Amsterdam as well as Sydney, before joining Mixedmedia, a Berlin based production company. In 2013, she founded her own studio. The studio specializes in developing installations and sculptural projects for renown contemporary artists such as Olaf Nicolai, Jonathan Monk, Jimmie Durham, amongst others, as well as for this year’s 56th Venice Biennale.
