is a PhD student at the Department of Conservation and Restoration of the Faculty of Sciences and Technology – NOVA University of Lisbon (DCR/FCT-UNL), where she also completed her Master in Conservation and Restoration in 2009. In 2010 she was a fellow at the Smithsonian´s Museum Conservation Institute. Since then she has worked both as a research fellow at DCR/FCT-UNL, and as a conservator for several Portuguese Institutions, mainly with modern and contemporary artworks. Her PhD research focuses on poly(methyl methacrylate): its use on artworks, the influence of transformation processes on the ageing behavior, and its preservation.
