Mareike Stöber started her training as a conservator in 2007 at private workshops and at the restoration department of the Bavarian State Office for Preservation of Monuments. In 2009, she began studying at the Chair of Restoration-Conservation, Art Technology and Conservation Science in Munich. During the course of her bachelor studies, she spent a practical semester at the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam. Focusing on the conservation and restoration of furniture and interiors, she graduated in 2013 with a thesis on ‘Rietveld’s Beugelstoel’. Currently she is completing a master’s degree in Conservation-Restoration at the Technical University Munich.
