Louise has been working professionally within the field of contemporary art conservation since 1997. She is originally from New York, where she attained a degree in Fine Arts before getting her Masters in Conservation from The School of Conservation in Copenhagen. Louise is presently the conservator in charge of the sculpture and contemporary art collection at Statens Museum for Kunst (since 2005). Her work with contemporary artist’s innovative use of materials has led to the creation of various interdisciplinary projects involving artists, curators, the plastics industry, and Material Research Scientists. Her emphasis is to find innovative solutions to complex conservation issues through creative and collective problem solving.
